British Nationality Law allows a foreign or Commonwealth National who has lived in the UK for five years or more to become naturalise as a British Citizen.

Naturalisation is a legal process whereby a person becomes a citizen of a country. 

In order to be naturalised in the UK there are certain requirements that must be fulfilled:

1. You must have resided 5 years in the UK without any restrictions on your immigration status in the UK
2. Are of good character
3. Have sufficient knowledge in the UK.
4. Intends to make the UK your home.
5. Meets the residence requirement as set out by the Nationality Laws of the UK.
